Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning

Bremerton School District is seeking an Assistant Superintendent who is a relational, grounded, and action-driven instructional leader.

Why Bremerton?

Bremerton is a district with grit, pride, and optimism. We are located on the beautiful Kitsap Peninsula and supported by a community that deeply values its schools. Our district is defined by strong relationships, dedicated staff, and a shared commitment to students as whole people—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Bremerton’s greatest strength is its people: caring educators who want to grow, students who are capable of more than they are often asked to do, and families and community members who consistently show up for schools, even during challenging times. Our size allows for meaningful collaboration, visibility, and relationship-based leadership.

About the Role

The Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning plays a critical role in shaping instructional vision, supporting building and district leadership, and ensuring high-quality teaching and high levels of learning for all students. We want a leader who builds trust, communicates clearly, and stays closely connected to the work happening in our schools and in our community.

Our Commitment

Bremerton is a district “on the rise” - and ready to grow. We recognize the importance of building trust through listening, transparency, and follow-through, and we are committed to honoring the work already underway. Staff and families value leaders who respect lived experiences, collaborate authentically, and lead with humility and purpose.

Join a team where district and school leaders roll up their sleeves and work together to ensure every student feels connected, supported, and challenged, while experiencing meaningful learning and growth.
