Farewell to Armin Jahr Elementary

In February of 2024, Bremerton School District voters approved a 25-year bond to support updates or replacements to facilities across the district, including the replacement of Armin Jahr Elementary!

Due to the compact nature of our current site and the surrounding wetlands, the existing building will be demolished, and the new school will be constructed on the same footprint. Our beautiful new school is currently scheduled to open its doors in December 2026.

To accommodate our students during this period, the Armin Jahr school community will be moving to an interim campus located next to the East Bremerton Community Gym on Wheaton Way, starting this fall. You can learn more about this transition at www.BremertonSchools.org/AJ

Join us for a community farewell celebration!

All are invited to come say farewell to the old Armin Jahr building at our community farewell celebration. Do you know someone who attended or worked at Armin Jahr during its 58-year history? If so, please pass along this invitation! All are welcome!
