The Bremerton School District Board of Directors has begun the search for our next Superintendent, who will assume their role for the 2025-2026 school year.

Staff, family and community input matters: We value the input of our staff, families, students, and the broader Bremerton community throughout this important process.

Search Timeline / Important Dates

Staff, family and community survey: open January 27 – February 10 at 8 a.m. – the survey is now closed

Application window for candidates: January 29 - March 2 – the application window is now closed

Focus groups with staff, families and community representatives: February 5 & 6 – complete

Finalists announced – Friday, March 28 or Monday, March 31

Community Forums – Join us to meet the finalists: April 1 from 5-7:15 (in the District Office Board Room). Attend in person or via Zoom

Anticipated announcement of the new superintendent: Tuesday, April 1. The Board will vote in a special meeting which will be held in the Board Room after the community forums and their executive session. The special meeting and vote will be live streamed on Zoom. Estimated time for the vote: 8:30 p.m.

On Friday, the Bremerton School District School Board announced the three finalists for superintendent. View the announcement.

Students, staff, family members and members of the community are invited to meet our finalists tomorrow (April 1) from 5 - 7:15 p.m. in the Bremerton School District board room (134 Marion Avenue North, Bremerton, WA 98310). The meeting will also be on Zoom (get link here). All attendees will have a chance to share their feedback after meeting the finalists in an online survey.

The Board will hold a special meeting tomorrow evening to vote and announce the next superintendent. Get details and the Zoom link here.

Meet the finalists on April 1

The process for hiring the next Bremerton School District superintendent continues! The application window is open through the end of this week, and the board plans to interview candidates in mid-March. The finalists will be visiting the District on Tuesday, April 1 and we've scheduled community forums in the evening so that anyone who is interested can meet the finalists.
