    Students at the computer

Our GOAL is to prepare all students to become efficient users and creators of ideas and information. Information Power, 2010.

Using digital tools, students learn research and computer skills necessary to communicate new ideas and concepts.  Our program includes instruction in keyboarding, word processing, drawing, presentations, data input/analysis, and coding. In addition, students are taught digital citizenship skills such as evaluating and citing sources along with personal responsibility in using digital media. Students use digital tools both in their classroom and during weekly technology class.

Students visit our school’s library each week for book talks, check-out and keyboarding practice. As we give students exposure to a wide variety of literature, we hope to expand their knowledge of the world while broadening their personal interests. Our library has a mix of fiction and nonfiction titles that support our curriculum and student interests.
