• Principal's Message

    Dear Crownhill Families,

Welcome to Crownhill Elementary School and the best year yet- 2019-20. We are the home of the Huskies and we provide rich educational programs for approximately 400 Kindergarten through fifth-grade students. Teachers, staff, students, and families work together to create a caring, joyful learning environment where everyone feels a sense of safety, belonging and confidence. We provide meaningful instruction and activities for students to learn, practice and apply the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in an ever-changing world.

We are excited to launch our Crownhill house system this year. The house system is an idea adopted from The Ron Clark Academy to give students the opportunity to connect with staff and other students across classes and grades that they may not normally have a chance to interact with. This helps students develop more friendships and create a family-like culture in our school. The house system will make our school seem a little bit smaller, and give everyone an additional sense of belonging beyond his or her classroom. We have created 5 houses; Quantum, the house of integrity; Fiducia, the house of Optimism; Foveo, the house of Altruism; Conisi, the house of Perseverance; and Artis, the house of Ingenuity. Staff members have already been sorted, and very soon, students will be randomly placed in houses. Please stay tuned for more information.

    The house system creates:

    • Unity/camaraderie
    • A more personal school experience
    • Opportunities for students to connect across grades
    • A focus on core character traits
    • A sense of pride
    • Leadership opportunities

Thank you to the Bremerton Kiwanis Club for the grant that helped us to bring this dream to reality for our students! Follow our Facebook page,  Crownhill Elementary

We are honored and humbled by your trust in us to care for and educate your children. We take this responsibility very seriously. Please remember, the door at Crownhill is always open. Be in touch so we can create a true partnership to ensure your child has his or her best year yet!  You can use our handbook to learn more about our school policies and procedures.
