• Until further notice, School Board meetings will be held virtually due to the continuing threat of COVID-19, our desire to keep our people safe, and Governor Inslee’s proclamations regarding the need to limit in-person meetings and the need for social distancing. The public will have the ability to observe the board meeting in its entirety by live online streaming. A webinar attendee link will be shared on BoardDocs the day of the meeting.

    This also means the public will not be able to attend the regular board meeting in person and there will be no live public comment. However, the School Board recognizes the value of public comment on educational issues, and will continue to accept and review public comments via email. Individual comments for the regular School Board meetings may be submitted to bsd-board@bremertonschools.org up until 1:00 pm on the day of the meeting. Those comments that comply with stated requirements will be included as part of the official meeting record that can be found online.

    Please provide the following information when submitting comments to be included in the official meeting record:

    • Legal name;
    • Contact information (telephone number & e-mail address);
    • The topic of the comment you would like to address; and
    • If you wish to submit a comment for the “Public Comment” portion of the meeting, please type "Public Comment" and the meeting date in the subject line of the email.

    Please be aware that all public input is considered a public document. These public comments/emails will be posted to the Agenda for that meeting. If you would like to provide input on any Action item on the agenda prior to the Board taking a vote, please indicate on your public comment form which item you would like to comment on. Please note that the Board does not respond to public comments during the meeting, but may discuss those issues in their reflections at the end of the meeting. Public Comment is not taken at special meetings designated for study sessions.

    The Board holds meetings on most first and third Thursdays at 5:00 pm. Exceptions are November, December, January, April and July. See "School Board Meetings" for a schedule of this year's regular Board meetings.
