Staff, Parent, Guardian or Visitor Health Screening


  •  Appointments are required. 

    Effective September 14, appointments are required to visit schools as our doors will be locked.   


    Anyone entering a BSD facility is required to sign-in, wear face coverings, and maintain social distancing (6 feet).


    Guidelines for visiting any Bremerton School District building: 


    • Any parent/guardian or vendor/contractor wishing to enter a Bremerton School District building must have an appointment and be cleared by a school employee before entry.
      • Visitors and volunteers are not permitted in BSD buildings until restrictions are lifted.


    • A  health screening must be performed (including temperature check with a touchless thermometer).


    • If an individual answers yes to any of the health screening questions listed below, that person will be asked to remain outside the facility.






  • Regulations and Procedures


    Pre-Entry:  Maintain safe behavioral practices


    We have all had to make significant behavioral changes to reduce the spread of COVID-19.  We will need to continue these practices:

    • Self-evaluation prior to coming to work:  staff must complete the Health Screeing before reporting to work.
    • If the answer is yes to any of the questions below, staff are directed to notify their supervisor of their need to take leave, and should not come into work.

Health Screening

  • 1.  Do you have any of the following symptoms that cannot be attributed to any other known condition (allergies, asthma, etc.)?

    • Do you have a Fever (temperature over 100.4F) without having taken any fever reducing medications? (Employees: If you do not have a home thermometer, you may access one immediately upon entry at the worksite.)
    • Do you have Chills?
    • Do you have a Cough?
    • Do you have Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing?
    • Do you have Fatigue?
    • Do you have Head or Muscle Aches?
    • Do you have a Loss of Smell or Taste?
    • Do you have a Sore Throat?
    • Do you have congestion or a runny nose?
    • Do you have Nausea/Vomiting, Diarrhea, Loss of Appetite


    2. In the past 14 days have you been in Close Contact, without the use of appropriate PPE, to someone with the above symptoms or someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or is presumptively positive for COVID-19? (Note: Close contact is defined as within 6-feet for at least 15 consecutive minutes)


    3.  In the past 14 days have you Tested Positive for COVID-19, or are Awaiting Test Results for COVID-19?
