WHAT DODEA SCIENCE BUILDING LEADERS WILL DO

• Attend monthly planning meetings, beginning January, for the DoDEA grant around NGSS and implementation
• Provide feedback for PD plans and activities and DoDEA teacher surveys
• Participate in revising existing assessments (Foss kit pre and post, ELA expository writing) and compiling digitial resource bundles for use with updated Foss Science kits
• Encourage teachers in assigned building to take advantage of NGSS webinars and other online PD opportunities
• Encourage teachers to complete anonymous surveys for purposes of measuring progress of teacher capacity around NGSS implementation
• Attend and present at ACT meetings
• Serve as liaison between ACT meetings and school staff and present ACT DoDEA/NGSS info to staff at assigned building

WHAT CLASSROOM TEACHERS WILL DO

• Receive info from DoDEA Science building leaders
• Participate in online NGSS PD for clock hours
• Teach Science lessons with in class support from science coach
• Learn about NGSS and Science teaching practices
