TV (Media) Production
Digital Film and Media Production1 semester or 1 year0.5 or 1.0 Credit: CTE, Fine Arts, or ElectiveFAV 305 (semester)FAV 306/307 (year)Open to: 9, 10, 11, 12NOTE: Additional credit available for 90 hours in after-school media Word-Based Learning (WBL).Students receive an introduction to careers in film and video production, including broadcast and media. Students will learn to tell stories using the latest video editing software and digital video equipment including drones*, steady cams, and DSLR cameras.* Note: Drone operation requires certification.
Broadcast Television - Advanced1 year1.0 Credit: CTE, Fine Arts, or ElectiveFAV 311/312Open to: 9*, 10, 11, 12* Note: 9th grade students must have completed a program in middle school.Prerequisite: Media Production, Digital Film and Video Production.NOTE: 180 hours after-school Media Production Work-Based Learning (WBL) available for interested students. Students will recieve an additional 1.0 WBL credit.The Broadcasting Television program will continue to improve student's skills in digital video production through hands-on work experience producing daily shows as well as televising sports and entertainment programs to Kitsap County on BKAT.
