Student, Family and School Liaisons

What do our Student, Family and School Liaisons do?

  • The Bremerton School Disrict has hired four Student, Family and School Liaisons to collaborate our school interventionists and counselors in supporting our students and families who may be experiencing a crisis or are in need of additional support. Our liaisons work to build relationships with the students and families, connect them with resources available in the community, and provide parent support.

Rebecca "Becca" Disbrow

Hello, my name is Becca Disbrow and I am happy to be joining the Bremerton School district family as a new Student, Family and School Liaison. I will be serving West Hills STEM Academy primarily and supporting Renaissance High School and West Hills Restorative School.  My experience includes being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, working in Pediatric Integrated Care and being a parent and grandparent. Working with children and their families has been a great joy and honor. I believe in the power of connection and listening. My interests include art, dancing and being on or near the water. I have 2 dogs and a cat and used to raise chickens. I grew up on the east coast and miss the fall leaves and snow, but nothing compares to the Pacific Northwest Summers! I’m always wanting new suggestions for beautiful hikes. I am also very excited that we will have our own hockey team soon (Go Kraken!!)

I will be primarily serving students and families at Bremerton High School, and consulting with Kitsap Lake Elementary and Crownhill. I have worked in the Bremerton School District for 18 years, mostly at BHS as a counselor. I have a farm, in Seabeck, which includes ponies, chickens, dogs and cats, and a pet pig (Piggy Smalls). It is so exciting to me to be able to offer even more services and resources to our BSD students and families. I’m located in the Counseling Department at BHS, please feel free to contact me or stop by and say “hi”!
