New School to Open in January 2009
The Bremerton School District is pleased to be joining the Washington National Guard and the State of Washington in the development of a dynamic, new program for secondary students. The Washington Youth Academy will be located in Bremerton on the grounds of the Washington Army National Guard Readiness Center. Construction is underway on a new 17,000 square foot administration/dormitory building as well as a renovation of the existing facilities.
A Youth Academy Director has been hired and the school plans to begin accepting applications in the May 2008.
