Bremerton School District

welcome to View Ridge Elementary

Principal's Message

Welcome to View Ridge Elementary where our mantra is “Every child, every day, every way.”  We are a community school in the heart of East Bremerton. It is clear from current survey data that our students, parents and staff believe our school is a focused, safe learning environment with high standards and highly qualified staff. This school year we are focusing on high standards for learning.  In addition we have established objectives based on the Nine Characteristics of High Performing Schools survey data. The following are a sample of some of those objectives:

  • Continuous monitoring of achievement using data (WASL, DIBELS, Fact Fluency)
  • School Newsletter & Info Half Sheets in between to notify parents of upcoming events
  • School-wide Teacher Teaming and Site Decision Making
  • Team Book Study Group
  • Student Leadership Opportunities
  • Otter School (remediation in reading)
  • Monthly family involvement events

We take great pride in being a family-oriented school and believe it takes all of us working together to help our children succeed.  We are enjoying a wonderful school year and feel we are well-positioned for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for our staff and students.
