Our Comprehensive School Improvement Plan continues to be a living document for increasing student achievement, and our plan is aligned to the Nine Characteristics of High Perming Schools. The goals addressed by the CSIP focus on students who have not yet met standard in Reading, Writing, or Math on the Washington Assessment of Student Learning. Our goal centers on meeting the needs of all our students and preparing them for future academic success at Bremerton High School.
The Mountain View Middle School staff continues to use common lesson designs and learning targets for alignment with Powerful Teaching and Learning practices. Our research shows lesson planning that engages students in multiple phases of instruction including Thinking, Reasoning, Knowledge, and Skills produces a greater number of students meeting standard. As a Professional Learning Community, we are striving to become a high performing educational institution. |
