Special Programs

What is Special Programs?
In the Bremerton School District, we are proud to offer a wide variety of programs at all of our schools to help children reach their academic goals.  Some of the programs that help students reach those goals include:
  • Title I
  • Title II
  • Learning Assistance Program (LAP)
  • English Language Learner (ELL)
  • Native American/Alaskan Native Outreach
  • McKinney-Vento - Homeless Program
  • Summer School
  • Early Childhood Services
  • Before School Program
  • Drawbridge
You can learn more about these services throughout the Special Programs site.  We have included some presentations we have done through the state and nationally that highlight some of the services provided to our students and the results.

What's new in Special Programs:
Introducing BookFLIX to our ECCE Members and Parents!  What is BookFLIX ?
Scholastic BookFLIX is a new online literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning. BookFLIX reinforces early reading skills and introduces children to a world of knowledge and exploration.
As part of early reading efforts, Bremerton School District now offers BooKFLIX for parents who attend one of our ECCE (preschool) partners; Kindergarten through third grade parents that attend any of our elementary schools.
For more information or to obtain the passcode, please contact Special Programs Office Coordinator Jari Arin at (360) 473-1061.
